Digital Lab services includes CEREC CAD/CAM technology for intraoral scan replacing traditional methods of doing impressions for restorative works. CEREC stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics and is a modern method of tooth restoration using computer-aided design and manufacturing. CEREC combines a camera, computer and milling instrument into one machine, allowing tooth restorations to be created in the dentist office, all within a single visit.
Why digital lab services is preferred over other teeth restoration methods
- More accurate and precision teeth restoration
- Natural-looking smile
- Long lasting without the need for temporary fillings or crowns
- Saves waiting time
- Digitally created restorations are more accurate and comfortable
The CEREC system is used to restore damaged or unsightly teeth. Whether it is decaying teeth or teeth in need of repair, CEREC can help. CEREC crowns are generally made from Zirconia or Celtra Duo. CEREC is usually used to make the following restorations:
- Ceramic Crowns
- Ceramic Onlays & Inlays
- Ceramic Veneers
If your tooth is suitable for CEREC restoration, our dentists will use a digital camera scanner to take a 3D image of your tooth, which is then displayed onto a computer screen. The image will be used for rendering the design data which is then sent to a milling unit for the restoration to be created. Our dentist will then polish the restoration, check the fit and bite and finally bond it to your tooth. The whole process is completed within the same day.
